Back to school is one of the toughest times for children in need. Not having new outfits or school supplies to start the school year off right can diminish their confidence and make it difficult for them to focus. Contributions to our Back to School Fund make it possible to give children a little extra for a better beginning, so that they feel good and are ready to learn.
Donations to our Clothing Fund allow us to purchase new clothes, shoes, socks, boots, coats, hats, and gloves for our sponsored children during emergency situations and due to harsh or unexpected weather conditions. Your support of this important fund ensures that children have proper clothes and shoes to wear so they can go attend school and stay healthy and comfortable throughout the year.
Contributions to our Hope In Action Fund go towards supporting children and families in emergency situations, like when natural disasters strike, in times of extreme hardship due to health challenges, and when families are unable to pay for food and basic necessities during a crisis.
We add new children to our program every day, and finding enough sponsors for all of them is one of our greatest challenges. The global need is so profound that some children wait months for a sponsor. Gifts made to our Shared Hope Fund provide immediate assistance to children awaiting sponsorship.
In Kenya and Ethiopia, children need mosquito nets to protect them from mosquito-borne illnesses so that they’ll be healthy enough to attend school. Each year, we purchase thousands of nets, thanks to donations to our Mosquito Net Fund, which we distribute to our sponsored children and their families.
Our Higher Education Fund helps young people pursue their dreams of completing certificate programs or obtaining a degree from a university or college. Many of our Higher Education Fund beneficiaries have returned to their communities in positions as teachers, nurses, social workers, accountants, architects, counselors, and speech therapists.
